Default Project 77

Hey guys here my new project i just pick it up for $200, no engine, no trans, no wheels, ha ha ha lol.....pretty rough i guess what do you think?

Talking Update!!!!

Today i got a set of tires from my neighboor for $100 bucks and i put them on the truck so i can take it my buddy's shop so i can start working on it, i also started to strip the interior.

Im thinking about swaping my front clip to a 81-87 front clip i seen a lot of this trucks with a newer front end.

Im thinking about newer front clip 81-87, shave the tail gate, 2 tone paint and body drop it, on my way to my buddy's shop to check out a newer front clip he has for sale and a used sbc 350 engine with a 350 tubo trans, the engine may not be good but i was thinking about rebuilding it anyway....

well today i bought the front clip and a blown 350 small block chevy that still rebuildable and a 350 turbo trans with only 20k miles since rebuild all for 450 bucks here are some pics....

yesterday i decided to really start working on this beauty, so i took off the front clip so i can start working on the body and i also dropped off the 350 sbc to ADAMS METALIZING (machine shop) here at Lancaster Ca to get it rebuild and add some serious power to it....

Smile Plans for today!!!!!!

Today im planning on going to the shop and since the weather is kind of crapy here in Southern California its been raining a lot im gonna push the truck inside the shop and do some cutting and welding i will post more updated pics later on today.....

Default Update!!!!

Today got some work done like i said i was going to this morning i started by shaving the tail lights and i decided to seal the bed to give it that smooth look, i also shaved the gas fill up holes and the stake holes in the bed, the roll pan and the cadillac bukets arrived today just in time for me to start working on them tomorow........

Yeah its just a 110 amp flux wire welder i got as a gift last christmas from my wife, harbor freight brand nothing expensive but it does the job....

Cool Update!!!!!

Well here some update on what i got done yesterday and today until about noon when a couple of my buddies came over my house with beer and than i new i was time to stop working and start celebrating New Years.... i got the roll pan welded and started cutting the tail light sections where the cadillac buckets will be, i also did some work on the tail gate i smoothed out........

Yeah i got a little time of work during the hollydays so i figure i get going with this project, besides that this is my 2nd project i got a 73 shortbed that is about done the last thing im doing is bagging it so its almost done, well let me take that back there is no such a thing as a finished project there is always something to do or upgrade.....

I'll post some pics of the 73 maybe tomorow for you guys.....i have to find them in my old computer, i got me a new computer when my last one took a dump on me and all the my pics for my 73 were in there but i got some of what it looks like now and i got some of the airbagging of the truck also ........

Im back to work now but i got a little more done yesterday, i shaved the glove box inside the cab to give it that smooth look and also did more welding, shaving and grinding around the bed........

Wink Update!!!!

Sorry for not posting any pics and updates lately but i have been working long hrs and with one day off, some times 2 days off a week its kind of hard but here is some work i got done this last weekend, i started working on the body and smoothing everything up and put a couple coats of primer and i also started putting the newer front clip back on the truck......

Well i got a call from Mark at the machine shop and told me that the engine was ready to be picked up so i took a trip down there today while on lunch and this is what i brought back!!!!! let me know what you think.....

I got all new seals on the 350 turbo trans and threw a couple coats of paint to make look a little better.....

I also got the front clip on, it was a pain on the butt to line everything up but i got it done i also got the engine compartment and the inside of the hood painted........

Yeah does are 22's and in the picture which is before i started baggin it i had a 3" coil on the front and flip kit on the rear

Killer project bro moving along great any other body modz your doing to your truck an all.an what size rims your going to run with what set up? For 200 you can't beat that I paid 800.for mines an I don't think it was worth it nothing but the frame is original. On my truck an the doors
